Dr. Abramowitz is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. His robust glaucoma experience includes state-of-the-art glaucoma lasers and surgeries as well as the growing field of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Dr. Abramowitz also performs comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery with the latest technology, including LENSAR Laser assisted cataract surgery and multifocal lenses.

Dr. Abramowitz received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the Ohio State University. He obtained his ophthalmology training at George Washington University, where he was Chief Resident and currently serves as a lecturer to the residents. He earned his glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Abramowitz has received several honors/awards in the field of ophthalmology. He remains active in clinical research, authoring several manuscripts as well as a book chapter on glaucoma. He also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Glaucoma.

Dr. Abramowitz has volunteered in underserved community eye clinics and on a mission trip to South America. Dr. Abramowitz lives in Northern VA with his family. In his free time, Dr. Abramowitz enjoys cycling, hiking, and photography.
